Video: Watch to see BMF activity on a European Level
BMF TV caught up with the International Development
Team, key BMF staff and exhibiting members at METS and heard how
British companies can benefit from UKTI grants. BMF
TV also learnt about BMF’s activity and interaction with
European counterparts and key decision makers.
Listen to many key industry representatives including
Christopher Uniacke from UKTI; Richard Franks, Hyde Sails; Fritz
Conyn, European Boating Industry; Amanda Simpson, BMF International
Executive; and David Elson, BMF Director of Member Services.
BMF TV caught up with the team at METS, held in the RAI
exhibition centre in Amsterdam, which is host to the World’s
biggest marine equipment trade show. Over 4 days more than a
thousand companies do business with over 18,000 visitors from
across the globe.
The UK has a very strong presence at the Show thanks to the
work of the BMF which helps around 100 British companies exhibit
giving them the opportunity to showcase their products and expand
their businesses.
BMF appreciates that exhibiting at major shows can be expensive
and have very strong links with the UK Trade and Investment which
brings with it expert advice and financial grants to reduce their
costs.
During the Show, senior staff at the BMF work hard attending
meetings and working groups to representing the needs and views of
its members. Often unseen and unheard as it is off the show floor,
this work shapes legislation and keeps British interests to the
fore.
Companies from the UK operate in a global and pan-european
marketplace, and METS is the perfect place to raise the British
excellence message and to play a pro-active role in the European
boating industry.
