Last Thursday, 28 June, Superyacht UK (SYUK) hosted its first Summer Media Lunch at Ince & Co headquarters in London. It was a superb opportunity for SYUK to highlight to the media both the mission to support members and the role in promoting the UK Superyacht industry as a whole.
The event itself was a great platform of which to also discuss the latest Industry news and most importantly SYUK member news.
The superyacht industry press were keen to help support British Excellence and SYUK members. The outcome was that the more SYUK – and the members – can supply to the media, the more coverage and awareness everyone can benefit from.
Feedback from the press highlighted this as an area that members can work on, as in the past they have found it hard to gather press information, pre-show material, quotes and obtain access to spokespeople etc.
The lunch also gave SYUK a great opportunity to highlight to the press the SYUK website as a key source of member information and news, in turn it is also an opportunity to remind all members of the online member profile section on the SYUK website where all members are able to upload press releases and any latest news or events.
This is crucial in our forward thinking aim as mentioned above of supplying the press with more material to build upon SYUK and Members coverage and awareness.
At SYUK it is felt that this should be at the heart of every members strategy and so to support those that feel they need more assistance with their press releases as a starting point we will be uploading press release hits and tips onto the SYUK website shortly. Members can also benefit from BMF Training on Marketing, Social Media and Planning, for more information on the current courses available please go to the training pages on the website by clicking here.
A huge thank you to all those members who sent through their latest press releases for inclusion in the press packs and discussions it was great to have so much to talk about.
