Among the presentations available from 5 July is the FP7 Surface Transport Workplan by Frederic Sgarbi of the European Commission.  In this workplan, Sub theme 7.2 covers Sustainable Surface Transport and within this is a Group of Topics (GoT No. 2) that covers “Ensuring safe, green and competitive Waterborne Transport”.  It also covers Ocean of Tomorrow and cross cutting themes.

Projects relating to ships, boats, marine craft and their systems of all sizes, and their manufacture are potentially eligible if they meet the workplan themes and application criteria.  Cliff Funnell’s presentation “FP7 – why, how and what” describes the process.

The 5 July seminar covered also the EU Transport Horizon 2020 programme and the UK Transport Systems Catapult, and presentations on these topics are also available on the Transport KTN website in the FP7 folder above.
