The British Marine Federation is seeking a Technical Executive to work within the BMF team to provide guidance and effective lobbying on technical and environmental issues to support the UK Leisure, Superyacht and Small Commercial Marine Industry. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Director and require a broad technical knowledge of the industry and legislative framework, notably the Recreational Craft Directive, ISO Standards and MCA Codes.

Salary: to £28,000
The British Marine Federation is seeking a Technical Executive to work within the BMF team to provide guidance and effective lobbying on technical and environmental issues to support the UK Leisure, Superyacht and Small Commercial Marine Industry. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Director and require a broad technical knowledge of the industry and legislative framework, notably the Recreational Craft Directive, ISO Standards and MCA Codes.
To fulfil the key aspects of the role, you will require a degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
The position will involve direct contact with member companies, Government Agencies, national committees and International Working Groups, so a confident communicator with good presentational and negotiating skills is required. In addition the position will require the drafting of articles to the Technical Report and updates to the Website.
A degree of travel within the EU should be expected. Training will be provided as necessary.
