North Wales Boat Show Floats Again in 2013
Published on 11/10/2012
The North Wales Boat Show, which is under new management, is set to return as the celebratory festival of all water-based activities from 24 to 28 July 2013. It will have an events and entertainment programme appealing not only to watersports enthusiasts but also those that wish to get on the water or just love watching the action.
The Show, which was last held in 2011, will relocate to Deganwy Quays Marina in Conwy running alongside the long established and successful Conwy River Festival. Conwy boasts two marinas and a reputation for outstanding watersport amenities, and as a major tourist attraction in its own right provides the infrastructure with corporate hospitality venues, accommodation, eating establishments and plenty of vantage viewing points enabling the Show to grow in stature and size.
The Wales marine industry generates over £104 million in tourism spend and the North Wales Boat Show will be the biggest regional marine event targeting a massive audience from across North Wales, the North West, West Midlands, Isle of Man and Ireland and has support from the various watersport based clubs throughout the Region, the British Marine Federation, Irish Marine Federation, Conwy County and Town Councils and the Maritime Heritage and Tourism Sector.
