New BMF Member Benefit

The British Marine Federation (BMF) is delighted to announce a new member benefit.  A new arrangement with Currency Matters (CM) will enable members to make savings when making payments to overseas banks in any currency. This will be especially beneficial for those members who use their high street bank for overseas payments.

About Currency Matters

CM is an established foreign currency exchange broker and specialist in international payments. CM offers a personal and informed foreign currency exchange facility to all their corporate clients. They replace the traditional role of the bank in the money exchange transaction, and in doing so, offer a higher level of currency analysis and service not normally found with the banks. They will save you money through commission free transactions and better exchange rates and endeavour to provide added value at every opportunity.

Exclusive Benefits

CM will enhance the standard benefits they offer to all their corporate clients by offering exclusive benefits to members of the BMF. All members will have access to the best exchange rates and highest level of service. No matter the size of the transaction, CM will offer a highly competitive rate.

Upon opening an account with CM, each member of the BMF will be allocated a dedicated and experienced account manager. The account manager will be familiar with the preferential rates and will help guide the client through each step of the process. They can also help our clients determine a suitable currency strategy. They will aim to enhance savings at every opportunity and eliminate currency risk.

CM will not charge members of the BMF commission. CM will not charge any transfer fees on payments greater than £5,000. CM will charge a reduced fee of £5 on transfers less than £5,000.

Over the coming weeks, representatives from CM will contact BMF members to see how they can help save you unnecessary bank costs.

Further information

The account opening process is a quick and straightforward exercise and creates no obligation or cost. The dealing process is a simple matter of a telephone call and an emailed or faxed confirmation. All transactions are on a bank to bank basis, though they can accept cheques or bankers drafts, but not cash. Normal delivery of funds to your nominated account takes two days from receipt of cleared funds. However, they can also achieve same day delivery if required.

CM is registered with HM Revenue & Customs as a Money Service Business, and strictly adheres to current Anti-Money Laundering legislation. All client transactions are conducted through segregated Client Trust Accounts held with Barclays Bank PLC in London.
