Opportunities for technology and innovation in the marine industries
A workshop to shape and influence the technology themes of the marine industry technology roadmap and creating project funding opportunities
To be held at a central London location
Thursday 22 July 2010 from 1230 to 1630
The Marine Industries Leadership Council Technology and Innovation Group (MILC TIG) and Technology Strategy Board seeks your presence at an important workshop for the marine industry.
PARTICIPANTS: Those from the marine industry leading the technology push in their companies and seeking to make the next innovative leap to maintain their competitive position. This is an opportunity for all sizes of company.
In advance of the workshop you can review the roadmap by registering (free) at the website www.marineuk.com, which is where we will also provide any updates. The nine technology themes have a separate page in the roadmap, they are:
- I-ship (inc Ship Management & Decision support systems and some “Lean” ideas)
- Exportable naval vessels and systems
- Maritime consultancy and related services
- Offshore deployment vessels and energy farm support through life
- Lean support processes
- Anti fouling, tank and low-friction coatings
- Ballast water solutions
- Green Propulsion Systems (Exhaust)
Ergonomics, ease of use of leisure craft and others
Participants are asked to indicate on the registration form their areas of interest from the nine technology themes. This is not cast in stone but is to assist with the logistics of the day.
