Watersports Participation Report 2012 - Executive Summary

This annual report commissioned by BMF, MCA, RNLI, RYA, BCU and MMO details participation and ownership for 12 boating activities in 2012 and reports trends over eleven years.  This report also includes the return of wider water-based leisure activities. This summary report includes some demographics, frequency, location and household boat ownership.

This annual report commissioned by BMF, MCA, RNLI, RYA, BCU and MMO details participation and ownership for 12 boating activities in 2012 and reports trends over eleven years.  This report also includes return of wider water-based leisure activities.

The full report provides more detailed trends since 2002 and results to a wider set of questions. This includes trends in demographics, frequency and home / abroad participation and location of residence, and also presents coastal/inland and seasonal activity,  household boat ownership, charter/hire, and more.

An annual project on behalf of Superyacht UK determines the value of the superyacht sector and identifies trends. This includes the design, build, supply chain and service of yachts over 24 metres load line length within the UK market.
