Outward Mission to Croatia March 28 - April 5 2009
The British Marine Federation (BMF) is organising a tour of
major boat yards in Split, Croatia to coincide with the Split Boat
Show which takes place from 28 March - 5 April 2009.
The tour aims to facilitate the development of trade links
between the UK and the Croatian marine industry. The
objective is to familiarise companies with how Croatian yards work,
their buying patterns and procedures, and to assist companies in
developing relationships. The tour will provide a useful insight
into the Croatian market and provide access to key industry
players.

Each yard visit is envisaged to last one and a half to two hours
with the proposed format being:
1. BMF group to be met by yard
representative
2. Yard representative to give BMF
group a short presentation on the yard
3. BMF group to provide a one minute
introduction to their company
4. BMF group to receive tour of
facility, allowing the group the opportunity to find their most
appropriate contact in the yard.
COSTS:
The BMF administration fee for the event is £350 + VAT for
members, and £550 + VAT for non-members
Delegates will be responsible for hotel and flight costs. The
BMF will manage the hotel booking.
Approximate Costs:
Accommodation: £250 for three nights (booked by BMF,
paid on departure by delegate)
