In addition to responding to consultations, the BMF ensures the views of the industry are heard by proactively engaging with Government. Over the years we have built an impressive network of contacts within the industry, Parliament, Whitehall and Europe and it is this that enables us to provide the leisure marine sector with a single strong and authoritative voice.

We need the views of our members in order to inform that voice and we often engage in market research techniques in order to provide legislators the evidence they need to act appropriately. Every member can do their part by ensuring they respond to these surveys as well as acting as case studies.

The political situation is in a constant state of flux and the issues we deal with can change from day-to day but the list below provides a good example of some of the work we're currently engaged in.

If you're particularity interested in the complex situation surrounding Red Diesel be sure to check our sub-section which provides a helpful guide on all the issues.
