On The Water

On The Water is a 5-year project that was launched in 2010 with the aim to get more people involved in boating and watersports as part of a healthy lifestyle.  It has since grown into a central hub that provides an abundance of resources and opportunities to help them get started. From regional guides and event listings through to information on every key boating and water sport activity, the content is always growing with the aim to direct these new boaters towards BMF members.

Member Opportunities

The On The Water website now also has a dedicated BMF members areas full of resources to enable members to host their own local events.  As well as this there are frequent opportunities to get involved in events On The Water is attending plus competitions and other promotional opportunities.

You can next see and get involved with On The Water Bus when it attends The Outdoors Show on the 17th – 20th January.

If you would like to get involved  or find out what On The Water could do for you, please contact Antonia Goodwin on  agoodwin@britishmarine.co.uk

The Green Blue

The Green Blue project is an innovative environmental awareness programme set up by the British Marine Federation (BMF) and the Royal Yacht Association (RYA) to help boat users, marine businesses and sailing clubs to reduce their impact on our coastal and inland waters.

The Green Blue raises awareness, conducts scientific research, identifies environmentally friendly products and offers easy best practice advice to anyone who seeks to make boating in the UK as sustainable as possible.
