Suppliers get involved
UKTI / BMF Meet the Buyer has gone from strength to strength and
is now back for its 12th consecutive year. The event is
designed to be a showcase of innovation to aid buyers and suppliers
of marine equipment to network in one place, saving on travel costs
and time out of the office.
Last year’s “Meet the Buyer” involved 18
overseas buyers and 64 UK suppliers, resulting in more than 435
one-to-one meetings (a record for the event) and significant levels
of new business. In a survey of the UK suppliers who took part in
the January 2011 Meet the Buyer, the 38 companies that responded
expected the event to generate business worth a total of £1.5
million.
The cost for attending the event is £100 for
BMF members and £175 for non members. For this
price suppliers can meet with as many buyers as they wish as long
as the schedule allows and meetings are allocated on a first come,
first served basis. The event is ONLY open to UK marine equipment
and service companies.
