Marketing
The marketing team at the British Marine Federation
consists of the Marketing, Public Relations and Online
departments.
Together they offer the following services to
members:
Promotion of the industry
- BMF Website – The BMF website acts as a portal
of knowledge for the marine industry and a tool to promote BMF
members businesses. It is supported by a Blog and email communication, BMF Latest News.
On The
Water - The consumer brand of BMF which aims to raise the
awareness of boating, breakdown the barriers to entry and, most
importantly, encourage regular participation in boating.
Ultimately the goal is to increase the number of active boating
participants. Currently around 3.2 million people get on the water
each year across a range of boating activities from kayaking to
sailing to inland boating. This initiative directly promotes BMF
members only.
BMF members are promoted through regular e-newsletters and
social media to a growing On The Water database of new boaters.
This enables us to maintian a 360 apporach to communications and
keep in contact with consumers.
- Click here for the dedicated
website or log in
to the members area to download banners and buttons to help
promote the brand.
- PR – Our PR team ensure the boating
industry gets the coverage it deserves in both national and
regional press, in print and online. Some key examples
include:
- Boat Show coverage in the Guardian, Daily Mail online and
GMTV
- Market research reports featured in the FT, IBI, Lloyd’s List,
Reuters.com and Yachting Life
