Health and Safety

As part of its service to members the British Marine Federation (BMF) has for many years provided Health and Safety guidance on a wide range of topics. Over this time there has been a lot of new Health and Safety legislation, but also growing evidence of ‘good practice’ both within the marine industry and outside, which has made compliance easier. Good implementation of Health and Safety regulations can assist with process efficiency, well-being of staff, and profitability.

The BMF has developed a comprehensive Health and Safety Guide complemented by three Sector Guides covering the specific needs of Boat Building and Repairs, Marinas and Boatyards and Boat Using at Work.  These resources are available on CDROM in an easy to read, fully searchable format, allowing quick access to sections, topics, references and bookmarking.  Also included are many of the free guides published by the Health and Safety Executive

Members receive one complimentary copy of the Health and Safety Guide, non-members and members requiring additional copies can purchase online for £50 + VAT + p&p. Click here to purchase or call Carole Abel on 01784 223634 or e-mail technical@britishmarine.co.uk
