Welcome to British Marine Leisure Boating
BMLB Charter and Holiday companies provide a wide variety of vessels in some of the world’s best cruising areas, with watersports activities available at many locations. All British registered yachts comply with the MCA Code of Practice for Small Commercial Vessels and foreign flagged yachts comply with the regulations of the country with which they are registered.
Charter companies comply to the Package Travel Holiday and Package Tour Regulations 1992, using appropriate bonding, insurance or trust fund arrangements if their business activities requires it.
Holiday companies are ATOL (Air Travel Organiser Licence) bonded, managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. ATOL is the government’s licensing and financial protection scheme for air holidays and flights sold by tour operators and travel organisers in the UK.
Member companies of British Marine Leisure Boating have access to a number of template agreements on:
- Bareboat Charters
- Charter Vessel Management
- Skippered Charters
These are available free of charge to members of British Marine Leisure Boating and can be downloaded from the British Marine Publications pages on its website.
