The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) has included the boatbuilding apprenticeship standard in the engineering and manufacturing route review, the largest review to date with 59 apprenticeships standards being looked at.

The review is being conducted to ensure that apprenticeships remain robust and up to date, with some of the main aims of the Institute being an employer led and consultative approach, transparency and a sensible pace of change.

The consultation is open for 12 weeks and is open to employers, apprentices and training providers. To take part in the consultation, click here.
