British Marine is engaging with key industry bodies as part of the UK Government’s ambition to refresh the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSbS). The focus of the strategy is being broadened to encompass the entire UK shipbuilding enterprise, which is set to include leisure craft and all maritime suppliers.
The Society of Maritime Industries, which has been involved with the revised strategy, is now interested in collating your views through this questionnaire. The survey is short and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
The questionnaire is your opportunity to express your views and outline what the Government can do to encourage you to invest in productivity measures, skills and infrastructure. The questionnaire also asks for further information on the sharing of best practice, how the industry can best drive innovation and the ways in which the UK Government can support UK exports.
Views on these topics will be used to help shape the final stages of the NSbS development, which is expected to be published in the early Summer.
This engagement is in two parts and is being taken forward in partnership with other trade associations including SMI, ADS, MAKE UK and techUK.
If you would like to respond to these questions, anonymously or not, please send your responses to Tim Currass by close of business on Monday 26 April.
