Holding Statement Template

A holding statement is the initial statement put out by a company or organisation designed to help control the message to the public immediately following an incident. You may not have all the information you need about the crisis to provide a full statement, but you know you need to buy yourself some time as you gather information. A holding statement can be written in advance of any incident as part of a crisis management plan.
