Explanatory note for the transistional period allocated in the 2013/53/EU Directive

Please find attached to this communication a note that was released today by the European Commission.


It contains a clarification around whether Notified Bodies are allowed to assess and certify products under the 94/25/EC Recreational Craft Directive until the end of the transitional period (17 January 2017).

It also explains how there are currently two lists of Notified Bodies (new and old Directives) under the NANDO website http://ec.europa.eu/growth/tools-databases/nando/index.cfm?fuseaction=directive.main as well as two lists of harmonised standards that are published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
