Guidance for vessels undergoing trials or delivery - pleasure vessels while they are in the possession of a broker, ship repairer or other such person for the purpose of their business.
Vessels which are designed and built for the “pleasure vessel” market are only expressly defined as such when they are in the use of sport or pleasure, however, this use does not account for such vessels being subjected to seagoing equipment and system trials, demonstrations and positioning voyages. This note is to clarify the regulations applicable to these vessels within the existing legislative system.
There are separate regulations applicable to vessels undergoing trials or delivery in Categorised Waters and those which are being used at sea.
Guidance is avaiable on both sets of regulations from British Marine
Guidance is available to members only
