Royal Clarence Waterside and Marina are looking for two Part Time Dock Masters to provide cover for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, alternate weekends for a busy marina, and be available for occasional holiday cover as required. The hours would be based on a 3 day per fortnight shift.

This is a long term role, not a seasonal position.

The job entails a great deal of walking and some lifting, and a large part of the job is outdoors in all weathers so the applicant must be fit and able to work in these conditions.

The successful applicant must possess good customer facing skills, an excellent telephone manner, be literate and numerate, and be of smart appearance.

He/she must be able to work as part of a team but also on their own. Above all they must be punctual and reliable.

Role requirements:

• Live locally to the marina
• Some form of marine background. Previous marina experience a definite advantage.
• Be computer literate with experience in using word, excel, and social media.
• Experience using VHF radio an advantage.
• A practical, basic knowledge of woodworking, i.e. decking repairs etc. Plumbing experience would be an advantage but not essential.

We are looking for someone who is available to start on short notice and will be interviewing in the next 2 weeks.
