This year’s Superyacht UK Technical Seminar will be held on the second day of British Marine Spring Expo (5 February 2020). Now in its 11th year, the event which is cemented in the superyacht calendar will look to the future of the sector and how the industry is changing with new technologies to ensure a sustainable, environmentally friendly industry which can continue to thrive.
The morning of the seminar will be centred on keeping industry updated with the new rules and guidance notices from the regulator. Speakers include:

The afternoon is set to look at sustainability across the industry. Speakers include:

Sustainable resins for fibre reinforced plastic.
Ffion Martin, National Composites Centre
A look to future-proof composites by optimising their resource efficiency through continually exploring novel materials, process capability and informed application. A look at glass fibre replacement and end of life.
With more speakers to be announced, including a keynote speaker from Lateral Engineering looking at the journey to zero hydrocarbon motor yachting, how these technologies might develop and the current issues in using these technologies that need to be overcome in order to allow them to become mainstream, such as an overhaul of the infrastructure and current distribution network.
