British Marine is sharing the latest updates on the actions businesses and individuals need to take to be ready for the end of the transition period.
Earlier this week the UK’s Chief Brexit negotiator, David Frost, travelled to Brussels for another round of Brexit negotiations with the EU. In a series of social media posts, he confirmed that whilst both sides did have common draft treaty texts: “significant elements are of course not yet agreed.”
The two sides are still struggling to reach agreement over areas such as fisheries and level playing field arrangements.
Environment Secretary George Eustice said the coming week was: “a week when things need to move. Both sides recognise that time is very, very short. There does come a point frankly where businesses need to know what they are preparing for.”
The comments from the UK’s Chief Brexit negotiator and Environment Secretary coincide with the publication of further advice and guidance.
