British Marine is pleased to announce the second of its dedicated Brexit webinars to help members understand how they can prepare for the end of the Transition Period.
The upcoming webinar on Thursday 22 October at 11am will see panellists discuss the changes to product certification.
To register for the upcoming webinar Brexit: An overview of the marking, product labelling and conformity assessments required from 1 January 2021, click here! This webinar is exclusive to British Marine members.
The session will help our members to understand what standards they must follow to continue to import and export manufactured goods following the end of the Transition Period.
Further information will be provided on the markings and certifications which will be recognised, those which will not be recognised and what action is required in Great Britain and EU markets.
The webinar will also give an overview of legal responsibilities and what action can be taken to simplify the process, including appointing an authorised or responsible person.
Speakers include:
- Ross Wombwell, Head of Technical Services at British Marine
- Alasdair Reay, CEO at HPI-CEproof
British Marine would also advise its members to visit the newly updated Brexit microsite for further information on the changes coming into effect at the end of the Transition Period and for details of sector-specific guidance.
Members can also email Brexit related enquiries to brexit@britishmarine.co.uk.
The next webinar will be held at 11am on Thursday 29 October and will talk members through changes to VAT. More detail, including the information needed to register, will be sent out shortly via email and Latest News.
