Broadcaster, writer and adventurer, Ben Fogle, and his Labrador, Storm, are to attend the most environmentally and dog-friendly Southampton International Boat Show yet. This is the first time in the Show’s history that dogs are actively invited to the Show.

UK boatbuilding sector enjoys rising exports amid challenging conditions for the industry

New figures released today at Southampton International Boat Show, powered by Borrow A Boat, from leading trade association, British Marine, highlight that Britain’s boatbuilding revenue increased by 21.3% in 2018, totalling £777m in turnover. The British boating market is now worth £1.4bn annually to the UK economy with unit output growing 2.9% to 9,477 units.

British Marine member, Cox Powertrain, is holding a career open day on Saturday 7 September 2019 as it seeks to recruit around 25 new employees. Over the last decade, Cox Powertrain has invested over £80m in developing a marine diesel outboard engine, the CXO300, which has been met with anticipation by the global maritime market, due to the safety benefits and cost savings it provides.
