Yes. The increase is applied consistently across the membership, in line with British Marine’s existing fee structure.
The 3% increase helps British Marine remain financially resilient during a period of ongoing cost inflation. By making modest, planned adjustments rather than reactive changes, we can continue to deliver consistent services, support members effectively, and absorb rising costs without sudden or more significant fee increases in future years. This approach supports long‑term stability for both the organisation and our members.
Renewal invoices will be issued on or around 1 June, with payment due by 30 June.
British Marine offers several payment options to suit your needs. In addition to BACS or credit card payments, we can also provide an interest‑free Direct Debit option, spread over six equal monthly payments between July and December.
If you have British Marine credit from referring a new member, this may also be used towards your subscription. Please contact declaration@britishmarine.co.uk to arrange this.
Members who do not renew will also lose access to:
· discounted training courses
· exclusive member events
· opportunities for business promotion and networking
· use of the British Marine logo
· and the many other benefits of British Marine membership
We’d also like to bring to your attention that members who do not renew but plan to exhibit at the Southampton International Boat Show 2025 will lose their current accrued exhibitor discount (which would reset to 2.5% if your business rejoins at a later date and will be capped at a maximum of 15%). Similarly, if you don’t renew your membership, your company would be ineligible to exhibit in our British Pavilion at any international shows, including METSTRADE 2025.
