After a successful turnout of over 100,000 visitors in 2024, the Southampton International Boat Show is set to return in 2025 (19-28 September) with an entirely reimagined layout and expanded features that promise to engage boating enthusiasts, industry professionals, and newcomers alike. Next year’s show will showcase a transformed shore layout, designed to improve visitor flow, enhance exhibitor visibility, and provide a vibrant experience with a variety of thematic zones tailored to different interests. From powerboating to water sports, there will be something for everyone.
The 2025 Southampton International Boat Show is set to build on the success of previous shows, introducing new features and a revamped design to provide an engaging experience for all attendees. Following the introduction of a redesigned marina layout in 2024, which was well-received by both exhibitors and visitors, British Marine is taking things a step further with a transformed shore layout to optimise space and enhance overall visitor experience. This new layout is intended to increase foot traffic, boost exposure for exhibitors, and enable visitors to interact with attractions and activities like never before. With a slightly later date, the show avoids clashing with Cannes Boat Show which has been a request put forward to British Marine from businesses who can now maximise all the important sales opportunities these events provide.
One of the standout additions to the 2025 show will be a series of dedicated themed zones, each crafted to offer a unique experience and showcase the diversity of the boating world.
These zones include:
The Boating Academy: Perfect for newcomers and seasoned boating enthusiasts alike, this zone offers a range of learning opportunities to develop or enhance boating skills.
The Club: This proposed meeting space invites associations, clubs, and like-minded enthusiasts to connect. Visitors can experience climbing a mast, enjoy the lake, or relax with a refreshing drink at the end of the day.
The Beach: A hub for water sports lovers, overlooking the on-water stage where exhibitors can demonstrate their products in action.
The Power Hub: An area dedicated to RIBs, powerboats, high-speed toys, engines, and green technologies, catering to those passionate about innovation in power-driven craft.
The Marina: The iconic heart of the show, showcasing over 300 boats for attendees to explore up-close.
The Shipyard: An entertainment-rich space perfect for visitors who enjoy a lively atmosphere.
Exhibitors looking to participate in this exciting new edition of the show can start applying now, as the first round of stand allocations will commence in December. The new layout offers exhibitors an opportunity to choose their preferred zone to suit business needs and create an ideal showcase for their products to a relevant audience. Exhibitors are encouraged to apply by the end of November 2024 to secure their spot in the show’s initial allocations and benefit from the lowest exhibiting space rates.
