British luxury motor yacht manufacturer Fairline Yachts has been awarded Best Interior Design for its Squadron 58 in the 2024 World Yachts Trophies awards announced during this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
The World Yachts Trophies gala dinner rewards the best motor boats and yachts from 13m - 140m launched during the year and is followed by a unique Yachts Parade, showcasing the most beautiful yachts in the Bay of Cannes.
Miles Moorhouse, Head of Marketing at Fairline said of the win: “This is another great win for Fairline and for a yacht which has been so well received since its debut at Southampton International Boat Show in 2023. It’s great to be recognised internationally at such a landmark event which celebrates the beauty of the yachting world. The Fairline team can be proud of a great record in these prestigious awards including wins in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and now 2024.
In a British builder first for yachts under 80ft, the Squadron 58 boasts large hydraulically powered balconies to both sides, and an innovative bathing platform which doubles in size. Teamed with the already large cockpit, the Squadron 58 has an aft, outdoor entertaining space to give the feeling of a much bigger boat but with the running costs of something much smaller. The yacht exemplifies the latest in Fairline’s cutting-edge design offering flexible modular seating in the cockpit complemented with a glass transom to enhance the connection to the water and ensures unhindered views of the seascape.
The win follows Fairline’s lead concept designer Christian Gott being awarded Designer of the Year at the 2023 Boat Builder Awards for his work at the yacht builder including the Squadron 58.
Fairline’s UK and European network of dealers will be represented on the Fairline stand throughout Cannes Yachting Festival, together with key personnel from Fairline’s factory teams.
