Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd (CMPUK) has marked the centennial year of Caterpillar Inc and 25 years of being part of the company with an all-employee garden party at The Orangery Suite at Merley House in Dorset.

Tony Suttle, facility manager for CMPUKThe day officially began with welcome drinks and a ceremonial introduction from the Wimborne Town Crier, whose presence lent a fitting sense of ceremony and ensured all attention was firmly focused on the proceedings. The employees and their families from the Wimborne factory were joined in the celebrations by colleagues from America. The day included garden games, line dancing, live entertainment and a USA-themed barbecue.
As part of centennial celebrations, Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) announced an investment to support a key source of its success and longevity for the next 100 years: people. As part of the celebration, the company pledged $100 million over the next five years to help equip the workforce of the future with the skills needed, leveraging technology to meet global market demands as the world undergoes a rapid digital transformation.
