August Race is preparing to launch Oceans Assured™ a new initiative that combines a comprehensive range of valeting, maintenance and operational products certified as non-harmful to the marine environment with a first-of-its-kind digital compliance platform.
The aim is to give boaters clear, evidence-based information on the environmental impact of the products they use.
Developed in-house by August Race, the Oceans Assured™ Compliance Platform is a turn-key online database providing access to full life-cycle assessments (LCA), product-compliance data and environmental-impact information. It also includes a digital vessel-checker tool that helps users understand which regulations apply to their specific boat, ensuring alignment with MARPOL Annex V legislation that applies to leisure craft as well as commercial vessels. The free platform allows users to identify relevant MARPOL requirements, review technical documentation and certificates and access guidance.
Our goal is to make compliance with MARPOL straightforward and easy to evidence and to promote the overall use of products which are non-harmful to the marine environment.

The programme has already delivered significant carbon-reduction milestones and expanded solar-energy infrastructure across its marina network.
