The UK’s commercial marine and passenger boating community is preparing for one of the sector’s most influential annual gatherings.

On Thursday 15 January 2026, the doors of the prestigious RNLI Headquarters in Poole will open to host 'Navigating Change: Safety, Sustainability & Innovation in Commercial and Passenger Boating', a full-day conference designed to unite the industry’s brightest minds and boldest innovators.

Hosted by the British Marine Passenger Boat Association and the Commercial Marine Association, this flagship event brings together regulators, operators, technical specialists, manufacturers, and senior marine professionals to explore how the industry can adapt, evolve, and thrive amid rapid environmental, technological, and regulatory change.

Set within the RNLI’s world-renowned headquarters, the conference blends sector-shaping insight with a premium delegate experience.

The day begins with freshly brewed coffee, tea, and warm pastries before participants settle in for a series of thought-provoking presentations from leading authorities. Mid-morning refreshments keep energy levels high as attendees move between sessions.

A seasonal, locally sourced two-course fork buffet will be served at lunchtime, before an afternoon of exploration.
