This year, British Marine once again had its own dedicated stand, which served as a welcoming space for members to stop by for a catch-up, discuss any issues, and ensure they were up to date with everything happening across the British Marine calendar.
Tuesday saw Ed Tuite from our Technical team join us on the stand where he engaged in numerous insightful conversations with members, offering guidance and support on a range of technical matters.
Tuesday also marked the Commercial Marine Association AGM and networking breakfast, where we confirmed a full committee, including a newly appointed Chair, Martina Morosanu and Vice Chair, Rob Burley. With this strong leadership in place, we’re excited to see how the association continues to grow and support the sector.
On Wednesday, the Membership team was on hand throughout the day to connect with members, discuss membership benefits, and hear feedback directly from the sector. The day concluded with a well-attended networking drinks reception, kindly sponsored by Fireboy, welcoming around 30 guests. We were also delighted to be joined by Mick Essex from the Department for Business and Trade, who shared valuable updates on current trade developments and opportunities.
Thursday was dedicated to Training and Careers, with a focus on future talent in the marine industry. We were pleased to be joined by Owen McIntee from the Training Team who brought knowledge and expertise to the conversations around careers and development.
It was a highly productive week, filled with meaningful interactions and valuable feedback. We’ve already received interest from members keen to join us on our stand for Seawork 2026—a strong testament to the power of being present and engaged.
A big thank you to all who visited us and made the week a success. We look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead!
