British Marine Trades Association Celebrates Industry Excellence at Prestigious Awards Dinner

The British Marine Trades Association (BMTA) hosted a glittering evening of celebration and recognition last night at its annual Awards Dinner, honouring the outstanding achievements and contributions within the UK marine industry, entertained by musical duo The Real Deal. The event, attended by leading figures from across the sector, marked a standout moment in the marine calendar.

This year's ceremony saw five exceptional winners take home awards across key categories, each reflecting the innovation, dedication, and dynamism that continues to drive our industry forward.

  • Young Business Professional of the Year was awarded to Joe Salmon of Salmon Marine, whose entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence have made a significant impact early in his career.
  • Business of the Year went to August Race, recognised for its impressive growth, brand innovation, and dedication to delivering high-quality marine care solutions.
  • The David Coleman Excellence in Exporting Award was presented to Wessex Resins, acknowledging their exceptional success in expanding international markets and championing British marine manufacturing abroad.
  • The Chairman’s Special Award was given to Haven Knox-Johnston, commended for their ongoing commitment to the marine community and outstanding service to customers across the industry.
  • Finally, Personality of the Year was awarded to Emma York of Fresh Approach PR, celebrating her passionate advocacy, media expertise, and significant influence in promoting and supporting marine businesses across the UK.
