Sasha Rusakova and Stephanie (Steff) Flemming, who bring valuable experience and fresh perspectives to the firm’s growing team.

The addition of Sasha and Steff reflects the firm’s continued investment in strengthening its services with practical, commercially focused advice, tailored to the unique demands of the marine industry.
Sasha Rusakova
Fluent in Russian, Sasha joins LA Marine with a strong academic background and significant experience in commercial litigation, insurance and maritime law gained at leading London firms. Her practice focuses on contractual disputes and technical issues involving machinery and vessel operations, ranging from pleasure craft to large commercial vessels. She has acted for shipowners, charterers and insurers on complex, high-value matters - including a major High Court case involving indemnity on a superyacht valued at over £100 million, as well as high-stakes transatlantic cargo loss disputes.
Stephanie Flemming
Steff brings extensive practical experience from the superyacht sector, together with a strong grounding in litigation from her earlier career as a personal injury lawyer. Her time as an in-house legal advisor for a yacht management company gives her first-hand insight into the operational, regulatory and commercial pressures facing yacht owners and managers. Her current practice spans transactional and advisory work for yachts and superyachts, and she continues to track how global economic pressures and sanctions are shaping sales and ownership structures in this dynamic market.
