Coast Insurance – European Debut
30 April 2026

Coast Insurance announces the launch of it’s European Debut at Palma International Boat Show 2026.

Coast Insurance’s policy provides boat owners with integrated smart monitoring technology whilst accessing telematics data on usage trends, aggregates and exposures to aide and develop their own risk assessments and underwriting.

Following the success of the product in the UK and the overwhelmingly positive feedback from boat owners and their insurance brokers alike, the Coast Insurance team are excited to announce the expansion into Europe. Backed by 100% Convex Europe S.A. Capacity (AM Best A Rated), the underwriting team are motivated and empowered to expand their product offering into Europe and support their networks of Brokers who cater for this very important part of the international boating market.

We’ve launched Coast Insurance in the UK in September 2025, and have been extremely happy with how the product has been received by our customers. Most boat owners don’t associate an insurance policy with the prospects of receiving a smart device in the post that they can plug in onboard and make their boat ‘smart’.

Coast Insurance have pioneered this technology being embedded into a marine insurance contract. The intention is to equip yacht owners with the technology to allow them to monitor their boats and help their safekeeping. High water alerts, battery voltage monitoring and location tracking are some of the ways that the device helps boat owners connect to their asset. Weather Alerts and Lightning Strike tracking are a feature that helps boat owners consider environmental factors and how they may affect their asset.

Coast Insurance welcome interest and enquiries from brokers, yacht managers and boat owners alike across Europe, and look forward to building healthy and long term relationships. Demonstrations of the smart monitoring technology are available upon request or by visiting the Coast Insurance stand at Palma International Boat Show between the 29 April and 2 May 2026, at Stand C24.
