With just weeks to go until World Boating Day, British Marine is encouraging members to take part in this growing global celebration of boating.
Taking place on 23 May 2026, with events running throughout the week 18–24 May, the initiative invites boating businesses worldwide to welcome the public and showcase the people, skills and innovation behind the leisure marine industry.
Members can participate in a variety of ways, including:
- Hosting an open day at your marina or boatyard
- Offering guided tours of your facilities
- Running talks, demonstrations or workshops
- Providing on-water experiences or taster sessions
- Showcasing apprenticeships, careers and training opportunities
By opening your doors to the public, you can help demystify the industry, promote career opportunities and inspire more people to discover boating.
The initiative is coordinated globally by the Superyacht Life Foundation, which promotes events through the World Boating Day platform to help maximise visibility and engagement.
