August Race™ is pleased to announce that Co-Founder and Technical Director, Peter Wallbank, has been welcomed as a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC).
The membership recognises Peter's professional contribution to the chemical sciences and reflects more than 25 years of experience in formulation chemistry, environmental product development and technical leadership.
Alongside leading research and development at August Race™, Peter has become widely recognised within the leisure marine industry for his work in supporting the practical understanding and implementation of international environmental legislation, particularly MARPOL Annex V. Through collaboration with industry bodies, regulators and stakeholders around the world, his work has focused on improving awareness of environmentally responsible chemical use and helping organisations understand the practical application of environmental legislation within the recreational boating sector.
In addition to his role at August Race™, Peter serves on international technical and sustainability initiatives within the marine industry, working alongside manufacturers, regulators and trade associations to improve understanding of environmental legislation and encourage the adoption of practical, science-led solutions that reduce environmental impact.
Peter's current area of research focuses on PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), often referred to as "forever chemicals", and identifying practical opportunities to reduce their use within the leisure marine industry through evidence-based product development and sustainable alternatives.

The range is being introduced through an expanding international distribution network, including Brunswick Corporation's BLA Distribution across Australasia and Lankhorst Taselaar throughout Europe, as well as E.P. Barrus in the United Kingdom, Exalto Emirates across the Middle East and NovaMarine throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, with further international distribution partnerships continuing to be announced.
Supported by the Oceans Assured™ Digital Compliance Platform, the range has been developed to help vessel owners and operators reduce the environmental impact of routine maintenance while supporting compliance with international anti-pollution legislation through greater transparency, technical guidance and access to environmental documentation.
