Leading tender manufacturer reports emissions reductions, sustainable innovation progress and continued investment in cleaner operations

Williams Marine Group, parent company of Williams Jet Tenders and Evene Tenders, marked World Ocean Day (8 June) by celebrating major progress in its sustainability journey, following a series of significant environmental achievements delivered throughout 2025. The Group continues to reduce its environmental impact across operations, manufacturing and product development, while reinforcing its long-term commitment to more sustainable tender production.

Detailed in the company’s latest sustainability report, Leaving a Clean Wake, Williams Marine Group recorded total Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 254,807 kgCO2e during 2025, a reduction of 18,604 kgCO2e compared with the previous year, representing a 6% improvement overall. The business also achieved a 17% reduction in purchased electricity consumption and reduced total waste by 7%, from 111,100kg in 2024 to 103,875kg in 2025.

Williams Marine Group has continued to embed sustainability across both its operations and product development strategy. During 2025, Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) were completed for the Evene Origin 57 and Origin 71, alongside the further development and implementation of a range of innovations across its tender portfolio, including Petestep hull technology, eco-upholstery made from recycled PET bottles, cork decking, eco-interface systems and more efficient composites manufacturing processes. Alongside these product advances, the business delivered major estate improvements, including the installation of a 6,000L HVO fuel tank, upgrades to factory roof insulation, and the conversion of forklifts from gas to electric power.

The company also continues to strengthen its waste management and circular economy initiatives across its Berinsfield, Abingdon and Garford facilities. Through its partnership with Gen2Plank, waste fibreglass material is repurposed into recyclable extruded products including scaffolding boards, decking and pontoons.

Williams Marine Group has also introduced a dedicated sustainability assessment framework designed to evaluate all new technologies and materials before implementation. The process considers environmental impact alongside financial viability, ethical sourcing, weight implications, manufacturability and real-world operational suitability, helping ensure future developments are both practical and measurable in their environmental benefit.

The company also confirmed the successful acquisition of its Berinsfield, Oxfordshire manufacturing facility towards the end of 2025. The purchase secures the long-term future of boat building at the facility and enables continued investment in safer, cleaner and more energy-efficient operations.

2025 also marked a landmark year for the Group with the launch of its new superyacht tender brand, Evene Tenders. Sustainability was central to the development of the Evene Origin Series, with the company focused on proving that environmental gains can enhance, rather than compromise, performance and owner experience.

World Ocean Day is an important opportunity to reflect on the responsibility we all share in protecting marine environments for future generations. Sustainability remains a core focus across our business, from the way we design and manufacture our tenders, to the investments we are making across our facilities and operations. While there is always more work to do, we are proud of the progress achieved in 2025 and remain committed to driving meaningful environmental improvements across the marine industry.
