The funding forms part of a wider £448 million clean maritime programme, supporting more than 500 businesses and thousands of skilled jobs across the sector.
The new package channels support through Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC) Round 7 and Zero Emission Vessels and Infrastructure (ZEVI) Round 2, enabling companies to develop next‑generation fuels, propulsion systems, and shoreside infrastructure.
Previous rounds have backed projects involving British Marine members including, RS Electric Boats Cheetah Marine, Falmouth Harbour, Urban Truant, RAD Propulsion and Plymouth University.
Innovate UK described the launch of CMDC7 and ZEVI2 as a “huge moment” for the industry, positioning UK companies to capture emerging global demand for clean maritime solutions.
