Arksen Pro, the specialist division of Arksen, dedicated to engineering advanced, mission-critical vessels and tactical apparel for defence and commercial operators, announces the deployment of a heavily customised Guardian 10m interceptor. Commissioned specifically for VIP and close protection support alongside special maritime police operations, the vessel will conduct sustained patrol and interdiction missions across Southeast Asia.
Built on a proven Arksen Pro hull, the Guardian 10m utilises a narrow, deep-V architecture with an aggressive 24-degree deadrise. This specific hydrodynamic profile was a strict client mandate, selected for its pedigree of over ten successful high-stakes deployments in comparable operational environments. With a weight of 4.5 tonnes and a 1,000-litre fuel reserve, the interceptor achieves an operational radius exceeding 250 nautical miles at cruising speed.
Reflecting Arksen’s foundational commitment to the marine environment, the hull’s composite structure integrates a PET core derived from ocean-bound plastic waste, proving that uncompromising tactical durability can run parallel with ecological responsibility and active ocean conservation.
Designed to meet elite requirements for rapid response, the vessel achieved a maximum speed of +60 knots in testing, and routinely exceeds 55 knots in operational conditions. Propulsion is delivered by twin Yamaha XTO 450 hp outboards mounted on specialised hydraulic jack plates. This allows operators to articulate the drive height dynamically: raised for maximum terminal velocity during pursuit, and lowered for enhanced vectoring and torque during close-quarter harbour manoeuvres. Cruising at 20 knots, the platform consumes an efficient 30 litres per hour, while 5,000 rpm yields a sustained 50 knots, with reserve power immediately available for critical escalations.
A defining operational requirement was the forward-biased command console. By positioning the helm further ahead of the crew, the coxswain retains connection to the sea state, enabling them to quickly adapt to the conditions while protecting the crew from fatigue, ensuring they remain ready for action - at all times.
At Arksen Pro, our mandate is to build ultimate machines for the most unforgiving environments, and this deployment exemplifies our dedication to engineering exceptional, purpose-built tactical systems. A vessel is only as effective as the operators manning it. By focusing on shock mitigation and ergonomic superiority, we’ve delivered a highly resilient, modular platform that reduces crew fatigue and enhances situational awareness. The Guardian 10m embodies our ethos perfectly, protecting both the personnel who operate it and, through the repurposing of ocean-bound plastics, the very environments they patrol. Following rigorous trials with the demonstration unit, we look forward to scaling our support for elite maritime security teams globally.
