British Marine is exploring a new content partnership with BlackRook Media and T&G Media, offering members the opportunity to share their stories as part of a professionally produced documentary series planned for 2027.
The proposed series aims to shine a spotlight on the remarkable work taking place across the marine sector, celebrating the businesses, people and ideas driving innovation, sustainability, skills development and industry excellence.
From pioneering technologies and sustainable solutions to inspiring people and specialist expertise, the series would bring compelling marine industry stories to life, while providing participating businesses with high-quality video content to support their own marketing and communications.
We are keen to hear from British Marine members with interesting stories to tell, particularly those working in areas such as:
The emphasis will be on authentic, informative storytelling rather than traditional advertising, providing an opportunity to showcase the breadth and strength of the UK marine industry.
Members taking part would have the opportunity to work with an experienced production team to create a tailored package of professional video content.
The proposed package includes:
Alongside the production of these assets, the series is intended to benefit from wider promotional activity, potentially including exposure through British Marine's website, social media and member communications, subject to agreement.
Participating businesses would also receive broad rights to use the filmed content, including unused footage, within their own marketing and communications, subject to the final agreement.
The indicative cost for a UK-based production completed within a single filming day is approximately £10,000 + VAT per participating business.
Final costs will depend on filming requirements, location and the complexity of the project.
There is no financial commitment at the expression of interest stage, and full details of the proposed package and associated costs will be provided before any commitment is made.
Please note: British Marine's role is purely to connect members with the production partners and will not receive any commission, fee or financial benefit from the production costs.
The series is currently in its early planning stages, with a proposed launch during 2027 and the Southampton International Boat Show being considered as a potential opportunity to showcase the finished content.
We are now inviting expressions of interest from British Marine members who would like to explore the opportunity to feature in the series.
Whether you're developing groundbreaking technology, championing sustainability, investing in the next generation of marine professionals or simply have a great story to share, we'd love to hear from you.
