Princess Yachts announces two major premieres at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
14 October 2026

Princess Yachts is set to make a major statement at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (28 October-1 November 2027), with the all-new C48 making her World Premiere alongside the North American debut of the X90, headlining an eight-yacht line-up spanning all six Princess classes.

The two new models highlight the breadth and ambition for Princess’ evolving portfolio. The C48 introduces an entirely new dimension to the Princess experience as the brand enters the centre-console and day boat market for the first time, while the X90 expands the award-winning X Class with a new interpretation of the pioneering Super Flybridge concept.

Alongside these two highly anticipated debuts, Princess will present a broad selection of yachts spanning all six classes: the C48 Open, V50, F58, S65, F65, Y72, X80 and X90, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the British boatbuilder’s renowned design, engineering and craftsmanship in one location.

Fort Lauderdale is an important event for Princess, and we're delighted to be bringing two significant new yachts to North America alongside a strong representation of our wider portfolio. The C48 represents an exciting new direction for Princess, opening the brand to a new audience while retaining the design, engineering and craftsmanship that define every yacht we build. It is a bold addition to our portfolio and one that we're particularly excited to introduce. The X90 takes a very different approach, building on the success of our X Class with exceptional interior volume, innovative design and impressive long-range cruising capabilities. Together, these two yachts demonstrate both the breadth of our offering and our commitment to developing products that meet the evolving expectations of our customers.

THE C48 - A NEW EXPRESSION OF PRINCESS PERFORMANCE AND DESIGN

The C48 brings together leading expertise in marine design and engineering. Its hull has been developed by acclaimed naval architect Michael Peters, incorporating his patented Stepped Vee Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT) technology. The exterior design has been developed by Princess Yachts in collaboration with long-standing partner Bernard Olesinski Limited, while the yacht's distinctive styling and interiors are the work of Princess' award-winning in-house design team, led by Executive Director of Design and Development, Andy Lawrence.

At the heart of the C48 is Michael Peters' patented SVVT hull, recognised worldwide for its efficiency, speed and ride comfort. The advanced concept reduces drag and creates lift by channelling air beneath the running surface, significantly improving performance, comfort and fuel economy.

The C48 will be available in two distinct variants: the Open and the Deck Saloon. Both configurations offer the same advanced hull platform and a choice of three engine options spanning outboard petrol and inboard diesel powertrains.

Owners can select from Triple Mercury V10 400hp Verado engines, capable of up to 46 knots; Triple Mercury V12 600hp Verado engines, delivering over 50 knots; or Twin Volvo D6-480 inboard diesel engines, providing a maximum speed of up to 34 knots.

C48 OPEN

The C48 Open is designed for owners who embrace the freedom and excitement of open-air boating. Its fully open main deck creates a direct connection with the water, while a hardtop provides shelter without compromising its open character. The expansive cockpit forms the social heart of the yacht, with an aft sunpad, forward-facing seating with table, and manually operated drop-down folding seats to port and starboard.

Standard half-height balconies providing extra seating or optional drop-down terraces that extend the living space over the water, while the exterior galley is equipped with forward and aft wet bars, an electric grill, drawer fridge, sink and generous storage, making entertaining effortless whether at anchor or underway.

Multiple lounge areas provide flexibility throughout the day, complemented by triple or optional quadruple helm seats offering an engaging driving position and excellent visibility. The foredeck adds another versatile space, with seating positioned both forward and aft for enjoying the surroundings.

Below deck, the C48 Open features a lower saloon with convertible dinette, lobby with storage and optional fridge/freezer, day head and aft cabin. Owners can further personalise the layout with the option of a lower galley or forward cabin in place of the saloon.

INTERIOR DESIGN – A NEW EXPRESSION OF PRINCESS

The C48 has given the Princess design team the opportunity to explore a fresh interpretation of the brand's distinctive design language. Retaining the craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail for which Princess is renowned, the interiors introduce a more contemporary, relaxed character, reflecting the yacht's performance-led personality and the lifestyle of its owners.

A close connection between interior and exterior spaces has been central to the design approach, creating a natural flow throughout the yacht. Clean lines, contemporary forms and carefully considered detailing are complemented by a sophisticated palette of natural textures, architectural finishes and premium fabrics.

The result is a fresh expression of Princess design, combining a more adventurous aesthetic with the refinement, craftsmanship and attention to detail that define the brand.

C48 DECK SALOON

Alongside the Open, the C48 will also be available as a Deck Saloon, offering a different interpretation of the same performance-focused platform.

The Deck Saloon combines a sophisticated, enclosed interior with the flexibility to open the yacht to its surroundings. The fully enclosed saloon incorporates dedicated lounge and galley areas alongside the helm, with triple sliding patio doors connecting the interior with the exterior. Twin helmsman doors provide direct access to the side decks, while an optional sliding roof can open the saloon above, creating a seamless inside-outside experience.

Outside, the Deck Saloon features cockpit dining and foredeck seating areas for relaxing and entertaining. On versions equipped with inboard engines, an optional hydraulic up/down transom platform provides easy access to the water.

Below deck, accommodation comprises a lobby, shower room, forward cabin and aft cabin, offering a comfortable arrangement for owners looking to combine the C48’s performance credentials with longer stays on board.

THE PRINCESS X90 MAKES HER NORTH AMERICAN DEBUT

The Princess X90 makes its North American debut, bringing the latest evolution of Princess’ award-winning X Class to the region. Positioned between the X80 and flagship X95 Vista, the X90 builds on the pioneering ‘Super Flybridge’ concept, combining expansive living spaces, innovative architecture and advanced engineering to create an exceptional yacht for entertaining and extended time on the water.

A standout feature is the X90’s expandable beach club-style cockpit, with fold-down terraces to port and starboard creating a greater connection with the sea and expanding the yacht’s outdoor living space. Curved patio doors provide another first for Princess, opening the aft cockpit directly onto the main deck dining area and creating a seamless entertaining space. Above, the enclosed Skylounge and wheelhouse give the yacht a distinctive new configuration, while the aft flybridge can be tailored with options including a spa bath, bar, loose furniture or tender storage.

Inside, the X90 offers generous, flexible accommodation with three en-suite guest cabins as standard, with an optional five-cabin layout providing four guest cabins in addition to the owner’s suite. The full-beam owner’s stateroom is positioned forward on the main deck and benefits from expansive glazing and 180-degree views, with an optional gullwing door providing direct access to a private foredeck terrace. Full-height glazing throughout the main deck floods the interior with natural light, while the open-plan arrangement creates a strong connection between the interior and exterior spaces.

Underpinning the X90’s performance is Princess’ new Hybrid Progressive-Planing (H.P.P.) hull, developed in partnership with Bernard Olesinski Limited. Designed to optimise efficiency and performance across the speed range, the new hull architecture complements the X90’s expansive proportions while delivering the renowned seakeeping characteristics associated with the Princess range.
