Who We Are Seeking

We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Change Management & Master Data Technician to join our Engineering Management team. This role is ideal for someone with strong SAP master data experience and a passion for data accuracy, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.

You will be highly organised, analytical, and capable of managing complex data sets while working to tight deadlines. A confident communicator, you will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory teams to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance across the business.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the Engineering Change process, ensuring changes are effectively implemented across teams. You’ll spend time maintaining and improving master data within SAP, ensuring it enables smooth supply chain operations, supports on-time delivery, and reduces obsolescence.

Your day will involve collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to gather and validate technical and material data, supporting compliance with UK, EU, and US trade regulations. You’ll also contribute to maintaining BOM structures, producing reports, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within data and process management.

Example Responsibilities Include

• Supporting the Engineering Change process and driving changes through the business
• Creating, maintaining, and cleansing master data within SAP
• Maintaining Generic and VMI Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Ensuring accurate product and material data (e.g. weight, dimensions, composition, HS codes)
• Supporting material compliance with UKTR, EUTR, EUDR, and the Lacey Act
• Collaborating with Procurement & Logistics to ensure accurate purchasing and warehouse data
• Identifying and managing obsolete stock in partnership with Inventory teams
• Producing reports and maintaining Excel-based data sets
• Supporting technical documentation (e.g. Owner’s Manuals, Technical Specifications)
• Assisting with process improvements, risk reduction, and compliance activities
• Providing training and guidance on master data processes

To Be Considered for This Role You Should Have

• Proven experience managing master data in SAP (essential)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong Excel and general IT skills
• A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Sustainability, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, self-motivated approach
• Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
