1-Day Water Safety Management Course for anyone working within 3-metres of the water’s edge including boat crews, bankside teams, and support staff.

This modular one-day training course is designed for personnel from the inland, non-tidal water sectors, commercial and leisure, operating outside the remit of the ‘DEFRA Flood Rescue Concept of Operations’ remit, and the ‘CDM Regulations’ guidance, whose role takes them within 3-metres of the water’s edge, or, potentially aboard or around a small vessel (<24m), and who may be faced with dealing with accidental immersion of their colleagues, clients, third parties or themselves.

Any member of staff or volunteer with a waterside role, who will operate within 3-metres of the water’s edge or around a vessel and allow them to operate safely near water and to be able to carry out co-worker rescue with a grounded knowledge of the hazards and risks of the environment along with the skills to deal with matters arising.

  • Gain essential water safety knowledge tailored to individuals working in, on, or around water, including those operating aboard or around small vessels.
  • Learn practical rescue skills to respond to water-related emergencies.
  • Improve confidence in managing safety risks in a waterside environment.
  • Enhance compliance with health & safety obligations for staff working near water.

The suite of modular courses is ideal for people working waterside, and aboard craft; safety, and emergency response, Those solely boat based or riverbank or open water based can request the bespoke courses, the full course covers both elements. Personnel who may benefit from training include:
