Meet the Designers

My name is Edward Lewis, a First Class Product Design graduate from the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury. I'm passionate about innovative design and joined this competition to grow, learn, and connect. Outside of design, I enjoy golf and run a small 3D printing business. I'm motivated, forward-thinking, and always seeking creative challenges. 

Gaia is an Italian second-year Yacht Design and Production student at Solent University. Her passion for the sea has shaped her journey—from studying shipbuilding in Tuscany to pursuing yacht design in the UK. A competitive spirit raised by the coast and a swimmer at heart, Gaia is determined to push boundaries and carve out her place in the marine world. She is driven to create elegant, purposeful designs that unite technical precision with beauty, emotion, and a respect for the ocean.

My name is ethan meekin I am going into my 3rd year at Staffordshire University on the automotive and transport design course. I entered the competition for the chance to test my sketching skills in a competitive environment. A little bit about me I am 20 and I like to spend my free time rock climbing its both mental problem solving and physically challenging.

Drawn to the sea and inspired by the natural world, Jack sees yacht design as a graceful blend of creativity, sustainability and innovation that continue to captivate and drive his passion.

Studying Yacht Design and Production at Solent University, he is developing technical skills to match his vision of elegant, planet-conscious vessels. The Superyacht UK Young Designers Competition offers him a chance to explore this further while contributing to the evolving future of responsible superyacht design.

My name is James Horrocks and I am studying Automotive and Transport design at Staffordshire university.  I entered the competition because I wanted to set myself a challenge. I have also recently discovered an interest in designing yachts, and hopefully a career might come from this experience and university course in designing yachts/ conceptual vehicles, which I thoroughly enjoy doing. I am a very curious and future-thinking person, though I do love my classic and retro cars, as I have been to Goodwood festival of speed and Le mans Classic. I am very enthusiastic about what the future of transport and transport design holds.

I’m Adrian, from Madrid, Spain, currently studying Automotive & Transport Design at University of Staffordshire. I entered this competition to explore yacht design as a potential career path. I’m passionate about designing luxury vehicles—from hypercars to superyachts—where creativity can flourish. I moved to the UK two years ago to pursue my dream of a career in high-end vehicle design.
