The sun shone gloriously over the rolling hills of Rutland on a day that can only be described as picture-perfect for British Marine Midlands’ highly anticipated Pimm’s and Polo Day (Thursday 3 July).

Held at the prestigious Rutland Polo Club, the event delivered everything it promised, and more, blending exhilarating sport, elegant hospitality, and unbeatable networking.

Set against a backdrop of green pastures and blue skies, guests were given a warm welcome alongside chilled glasses of Pimm’s. The main event, a thrilling polo match between event sponsors Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial and Hoseasons did not disappoint. From the first strike of the mallet, the game was edge of your seat stuff.

Hoseasons kept the pressure on throughout, riding strong and fast, but it was Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial who clinched victory with a final flurry of action that saw two dramatic goals scored in the last three minutes. The final score: 9–7 - a thrilling end to a dynamic and high-spirited encounter that had attendees fully engaged from the first chukka.

Off the field, the day provided a relaxed yet valuable setting for members to network, catch up, and forge new connections. Conversations flowed as easily as the summer refreshments, with the shared passion for the marine industry bringing together a wide array of professionals and partners.

The day concluded with a relaxed evening dinner at Zada Restaurant in Stamford, where guests continued conversations over excellent Turkish cuisine in a charming historic setting.
