Cockwells will exhibit its all-new Hardy 45 European, fresh from being launched on Cornish waters by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal and the vessel’s successful world debut at the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show, alongside Duchy 35 ‘Aquarius’, which is currently available on the company’s brokerage.
The annual British Motor Yacht Show is curated by Premier Marinas in partnership with Fairline, Princess Motor Yacht Sales and Sunseeker London Group. The Show combines the most reputable names in the boat building industry with its most knowledgeable professionals to create a must-attend occasion for anyone who aspires to own an exceptional motor yacht.
Set against the backdrop of Swanwick Marina on the picturesque River Hamble in Hampshire, this event, which takes place from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 May, enables serious buyers to experience a personalised encounter with premier global boat brands, and take their time to explore the very best motor yachts, day boats and RIBS in an intimate and relaxed environment.
Each exhibitor is handpicked for the British Motor Yacht Show to ensure a diverse array of high-end craft as well as access to expertise from across the marine sector to guide buying decisions.
The brand new Hardy 45 European, built by Cockwells, is a sea-going motor yacht, which is also capable of cruising inland waterways. It effortlessly combines the robust design of the Hardy range with all the contemporary characteristics and technological innovations of the 21st century.
With her expansive aft deck helm, luxurious saloon and galley, full beam owner’s stateroom aft, complete with a king size bed and full-standing headroom, and comfortable double forward guest cabin, this vessel is ergonomically designed to provide plenty of room for all aboard.
Using the same semi-displacement hull of the iconic Hardy 42, designed by renowned naval architect, Andrew Wolstenholme, the Hardy 45 European is built to deliver superlative performance and elegant living, whether on ocean passages or in gentler waters.
On the one hand, the Hardy 45 European is an ideal inland cruiser, featuring a low-profile design and a folding radar arch to pass beneath bridges with ease, as well as an optional bow and stern thruster to provide ultimate manoeuvrability in tight spaces.
Yet, when venturing beyond the coast to cruise in open waters, the Hardy 45 European seamlessly transitions between marine environments and comes into her own.
Completed in 2021, Duchy 35 ‘Aquarius’ is a highly-specified single-cabin model, which has been impeccably cared for by its original owner and is in exemplary condition, inside and out.
Featuring custom extras such as a wireless remotely controlled stern and bow thrusters along with air-conditioning, heating, a generator, refrigerator and freezer, she is also fitted with the smooth-running, powerful twin Yanmar 8LV 350hp engine upgrade for effortless cruising performance, as well as a comprehensive Raymarine electronics and navigational package.
“We are delighted to exhibit at this prestigious boat show and showcase our products amongst the world’s leading yacht brands,” comments Founder and Sales Director, Dave Cockwell. “From our headquarters in Cornwall, we are proud to create some of the world’s finest motor yachts and superyacht tenders that combine traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, and embody outstanding performance, understated elegance and effortless handling.
“At Cockwells, we are as passionate about the artistry of the shipwright as we are about the latest advancements in engineering and electronics, and every boat we build reflects our meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality,” adds Dave Cockwell.
“With an international outlook and a comprehensive global support system, we ensure that every owner receives the highest level of service, no matter where they are in the world. Visit us at the British Motor Yacht Show to discover how Cockwells can bring your vision to life.”
