Thursday 12 June, will see the BMEEA (British Marine Electrical and Electronics Association) celebrating the winners of the annual BMEEA Marine Electrical Apprentices Competition, a technical battle that takes place during Seawork’s Training and Careers Day.
Open to Level 3 marine electrical apprentices, the competition takes place in real time with the task set on the day itself. Apprentices will need to exercise their design, calculation, and wiring up skills (taking current standards into account), before implementing the all-important ‘does it work?’ test.
Last year’s winners, Connor and Chris from Sunseeker, were presented with a sparkling winners’ trophy and a fully loaded technical rucksack each, courtesy of CK, with Weidmuller crimp sets and CK rucksacks going to second and third places.
