Following on from a successful Marine Tourism and Marine Trades Symposium in November last year, which heralded the launch of the new Draft Marine Tourism Strategy and subsequent consultation on the draft document, we are delighted to announce the launch of Scotland’s Second Marine Tourism Strategy, Giant Strides 2020-2025. The strategy was officially launched at the Marine Tourism Conference, hosted by Sail Scotland on 11 March 2020.

After 23 years of training highly skilled boatbuilders and furniture makers, British Marine member, the Boat Building Academy (BBA) has announced it is now a charitable company. The change will enable the BBA to offer bursaries to individuals for training in boatbuilding and furniture making.

Each year The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) hold a Marinas Networking Tour, visiting areas of interest, taking in the sights and touring around local marinas in the area. The tours have included France, Belgium and Holland and nearer to home, Ireland and Scotland have also featured on our travels. It is an enjoyable event which has been a staple in the TYHA diary for many years.
