The BHBF represents operators of holiday hire cruisers, charter yachts and all types of day-hire craft on the Norfolk Broads.

Its membership also includes the two boating holiday marketing agencies Hoseasons and Waterways Holidays, in a non-commercial capacity, as well as other suppliers or service providers to the industry.

About us

As part of the National Park family, the whole of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads is an environmentally sensitive area and BHBF works closely with the Broads Authority on all navigation matters and on preserving the environmental and economic sustainability of leisure boating.   This includes ensuring that the Authority meets its statutory duty of protecting the interests of navigation by representing members’ interests in consultations on regulation and legislation at a local and national level.

BHBF is also involved in originating or collaborating in initiatives for the promotion of the Broads as a holiday boating and water based leisure destination.

The Federation provides a variety of other services to its members including negotiating and co-ordinating special services to the Broads boat hire industry, managing operational co-operation and arranging meetings as required for information sharing or specific issue debate.
